We recognize the heroic actions of Healthcare Professionals in this time of crisis. We wish them and you good health and remind individuals with Diabetic Foot Disease to keep their feet “top of mind” to prevent infection and other complications.
Welcome to DBC Medical,
The Diabetic Foot Company
Feet are marvels of biomechanical engineering and are the foundation for standing, walking and running.
They are also the most used and abused part of
the human body.
With every step, 26 bones, 33 joints, more than 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments, along with a complex system of arteries, veins and nerves, collide with the ground with forces equal to at least 1.5 times an individual’s body weight.
As a result, Feet are "At-Risk” for injury both at work or during leisure activities.
Chronic health condition like Diabetes place the feet at additional risk: nerve damage and poor circulation can lead to difficult-to-heal Foot Ulcers. Individuals with Peripheral Vascular Disease, a condition which also restricts blood flow to the feet, are also at risk for ulceration.
